The Legacy of Levi Pearson
Levi Pearson was a courageous advocate for equality whose stand for justice helped ignite one of the most pivotal moments in American history. His case, Levi Pearson vs Clarendon County School Board, laid the groundwork for Briggs vs Elliott. This case along with five other cases, later led to the landmark case Brown vs. Board of Education. (1954)
